Lark Landscape & Design, LLC was started in 2023 by Amber Larkins. Amber climbed the                                   public service ladder in a medical examiner's office for 23 years and began to have a heavy                                 heart due to the daily exposure of helping people through the most unimaginable events of                                   losing a loved one. Her heart began to yearn for something different and then suddenly and                                 unexpectedly she found herself laid off of work. With a passion and natural talent for landscape design, and many previous complex projects under her belt, she took the summer off and truly fell in love with the nature surrounding her new home and neighborhood of two years. She became chair of the neighborhood garden committee, where a formal garden and a Japanese garden, with a history dating back to 1914, are still maintained. The more she designed, installed, and maintained her property, the more attention her spaces gained from neighbors, friends, and passersby. She began to have interest from others for design and maintenance, and although naturally talented, she took a course in Landscape Design through the New York Institute of Art & Design. One evening, after working outside all day, she laid her tired head on her pillow and a revelation came to her; "I don't want to just survive at a desk all day, I want to thrive in the garden". That next day Lark was born! Lark is a new beginning to help people in a new way--a way to bring positivity and beauty to a world that can otherwise be unkind. As a woman owned and operated business, Amber brings a unique perspective to every project using keen attention to detail and a commitment to refinement.
